L’ESPRIT DU TEMPS – EP RELEASE AND LAUCH GIG

North Manchester’s 5 piece band Dirty Laces made up of Tom Edwards (bass), Charlie Jordan (vocals), Luke Dec (guitars), Jacob Simpson (guitar) and Luke O’Reilly (drums/percussion) are back in the New Year with a bang with their anticipated upcoming EP “L’Espirit Du Temps” which is due for release on Golden Robot Records on the 28th January 2022.

It’s fair to say that the pandemic has hit the music sector hard but this has not deterred Dirty Laces’ who with their relentless work ethic and passion for producing great music, bagged themselves a deal with a major record label as well as having collaborated with legendary Ride drummer, Laurence Colbert.

With previous acclaim from the likes of BBC 6music (Chris Hawkins), Planet Rock (Wyatt Wendels) plus shows at Salford Lads Club, a sold-out headliner at Manchester’s 600-capacity Gorilla, Tim Burgess’ North by Northwich, festivals such as the prestigious Kendal Calling, and their legion of supporters, it’s not hard to see why this hardworking bands latest release is being so eagerly anticipated.

‘Breathe‘ the band’s first single taken from the EP, saw the band return to their Liverpool home at Parr Street Studios and reunited them with Seatbelts’ Alex Quinn (production/mixing) and together they conjured up a Beatles-esque piano ballad opening, leading into the channelling of a Queens Of The Stone Age style recording technique where they pushed the studio’s vintage drum kit to its absolute limit!

L’ESPRIT DU TEMPS sees the bands coming of age and ventures into a psyche-garage wonderland. The 4 track EP shows many faces and facets of the band with a certain new depth and dynamic range covering themes of self-discovery and socio-political liberation.

The EP has been pressed on beautiful limited edition white vinyl with artwork and illustration by Tomas Walmsley

The limited edition white vinyl is on pre sale now and copies are limited to just 100 and will include an artwork print signed by the band.
