POLLYANNA

POLLYANNA is the first single of 2022 for The Montagues being released today 25.2.22. Speaking of the single the band explain there are times in our lives when we all suffer, and in these times, coming together regardless of your views, being optimistic and thinking about others wellbeing is top priority. Watching others we love suffer ignites the need to protect, which is why Pollyanna came about.

Pollyanna described that positive feeling that takes away the negative mindset that overcomes us in hard times. Lyrics such as ‘a wave keeps crashes over, I stand it knocks me down, as soon as I’m on my feet again I won’t drown’ speaks of the resilience of getting back up in these times and your Pollyanna allowing you to see life through.

The North Wales/ Liverpool band consist of Jack Wells (drums) Johnny Taylor (bass guitar/vocals) Jack Mayall (guitarist) and Kyle Parry (lead vocals and guitar) played their first ever gig at Pie Records in Rhos on Sea North Wales 3 years ago, and continue to thrive having had airplay on various BBC Introducing radio stations.

Kyle Parry‘s unique vocals on this new single take a lot more of an upbeat melody, it demonstrates how diverse the band can be.

2022 will hopefully see the band continue on their journey with the amazing positivity and passion for what they do shining through as always.

The band next play on March 18th Telfords Warehouse Chester with tickets available HERE
