ROSE TINTED

Manchester quartet Garden Party are no strangers to the music scene having formed in 2019 and releasing their first single ‘Tomorrow’ in July 2020 to much critical acclaim closely followed by their second single ‘In The Middle’ in the November which featured on the Spotify editorial playlist ‘Fresh Finds’, reached #1 on the iTunes alternative chart as well as receiving airplay from highly-regarded radio stations such as Radio X, BBC Introducing, XS Manchester, Amazing Radio, Boogaloo and the Simon Le Bon hosted radio show; WHOOOSH! The band also made their debut festival appearance at the Isle Of Wight Festival on the This Feeling stage.

Compromised of Liam Horrocks on Vocals/Guitar, Kieran Poynter on Guitar, Josh Hesketh on Bass and Sam Timson on Drums, the four members first met when they were all studying music together at BIMM in Manchester.

Garden Party today (Friday 4th March) release their highly anticipated third single ‘Rose Tinted’ The new track showcases a much more mature sound to the band highlighting their versatility and ability to produce a wide spectrum of music. They certainly aren’t a one trick pony!

Although a more reflective track for the band from what fans might be used to, its still a deeply anthemic and uplifting sound with the vocal melodies and tinkling instrumentals taking the listener on a journey down their own memory lane. Its a beautiful track that is wonderfully well constructed and produced. It’s a tune that, in my opinion, makes this band a true contender for the well deserved space on those big stages.

Frontman Liam Horrocks has said of the track

“I’m really excited to get this one out there, everyone who has heard it so far has loved it and gave us positive feedback. I’m personally proud of the song because of the length of time I’ve held onto it whilst waiting for the right time to release it”

Rose Tinted‘ was produced by Bob Mackenzie at The Motor Museum in Liverpool (Oasis, Arctic Monkeys and Bring me the Horizon) and was mastered at the famous Abbey Road Studios by Frank Arkwright (Blur, Primal Scream, Coldplay and Johnny Marr).

Rose Tinted‘ although only officially released today, has already been receiving some impressive traction, having received its first spin on XS Manchester where is was made their Track of The Week as well as being played at half time by Wigan Athletic and impressively by Liverpool FC at their Anfield Stadium. On it’s released day alone within a matter of mere hours, it has also charted within the top 10 of the iTunes Alternative Chart.

Garden Party will be heading out on a headline tour with This Feeling and Scotts in April and May calling at London, Stockton and Leicester with a massive home town headline hometown gig at the Deaf Institute in Manchester on the 11th June 2022.
