AWAY FANS class themselves as an indie-dance five piece from London who set out to make music that gets everyone dancing, screaming and misbehaving!
With a comprehensive and electric live performance described by others as “infectious dirty dance” with “propulsive disco rhythms”, AWAY FANS guarantee to get the party well and truly started.
Formed in the early part of the 2020’s AWAY FANS consists of Tom Fisher on vocals, Alice Seymour on vocals Alex Boffey on guitar, and synth, David Lewins on Bass and vocals and Matt Foley on Drums.
The band were quite prolific with their 2025 releases of ‘Take’ in March ‘Honey EP’ in June and ‘Keeping On’ in October of the same year. All of which were well received by radio and press alike.
PREVIOUS PRESS
“London’s Away Fans have never been a band to stand still — or let their crowd do the same. [they] swap guitar grit for club sweat, fusing indie-rock bite with rave energy.” – Fame Mag
“The result is a sound that is infected with murky post-punk attitude and ‘Madchester’ rave scene style grooves, but with the band’s own London scene grit and determination binding everything together into a tightly packed punch of vibrant engaging music.” OBS MAG
“Keeping On” is a cinematic house of mirrors, where self-doubt and inner confidence spiral in lockstep, echoing out loudly and ricocheting across our emotional states as one of the most interesting and engaging tracks we’ve heard in a hot minute.” – VANYALAND
The Band’s first release of 2026 is the distorted high octane indie rockm with a dash of dnb dance anthem of ‘Perfect Moment’ which prior to release was picked up and premiered by BBC Introducing London.
It’s fresh, exciting and unique in abundance. This is the band the world has been waiting for. It is a perfect genre blending sure to appeal to the masses.
The band have said of the track:-
“Perfect Moment is an ode to messy nights and hungover mornings with the people you love. It’s a celebration of youthful stupidity and hedonism, as well as the long-lasting connections we can make in all the silliness. Inspired by bands such as The Streets, and taking elements of UKG, whilst in- keeping with the current wave of danceable, clever indie from bands such as Wet Leg, Drycleaning, and Getdown Services.”
‘Perfect Moment’ was written collectively by the band and was recorded, produced, and mixed by Harri Chambers at Zigzag Studios and Mastered by Shuta Shinoda.
