THE BEAUTIFUL GAME are a five piece alt-rock indie band from London composed of Jason Crowley on vocals, Lawrence Bonavia on Guitar, Steven Foxley on Guitar, Paul Jeffrey on Bass and Katie Padfield on Drums.
THE BEAUTIFUL GAME has a sound that manages to keep that old school Brit indie flame alive and kicking channelling the likes of The Stone Roses, The Libertines, Oasis and The Jam, but with their very own panache and unique spin on things bringing in other genres and styles to bring a whole new vibe to the scene.
The five-piece create rousing melodies with life affirming lyrics and stadium worthy choruses making them a very exciting band.
“Not Your King” the latest single to be released by the London quintet is a cinematic soundscape with dark theatrical verses coupled with anthemic, rousing chorus hooks. The tracks ebbs and flows along using different elements to really capture attention. You think you know where the track is heading in the verses when the chorus kicks in really upping the pace with its almost rapping lyricism taking the listener by pleasant surprise at the change in vibe and pace.
Jason Crowley has said of the track:-
“The lyrics to this song are about living in London and the class divide but when you find someone, love comes through regardless of post codes or other views.”
‘NOT YOUR KING’ was written by Jason Crowley, Lawrence Bonavia, Steven Foxley, Paul Jeffrey and Katie Padfield collectively and the track was Produced and Mixed by Beau Blaise at Regents Studios in London.
