Noisy Weekender arrives at ARCHIVE in Liverpool’s Baltic Triangle this May Bank Holiday for a three-day celebration of underground music, DIY culture, and sonic experimentation. Running from Saturday 23rd to Sunday 25th May, the new festival brings together a carefully curated lineup of emerging Indie and Rock artists from across the UK and internationally, including acts travelling from Los Angeles to Merseyside.

Set within ARCHIVE’s industrial surroundings, Noisy Weekender aims to spotlight forward-thinking artists pushing the boundaries of live music and grassroots creativity. More than just a festival, the event celebrates independent culture, creative connection, and the importance of DIY spaces at a time when grassroots music communities continue to face growing challenges.

THE CASES

The Cases are one of the most excited and talked about bands on the block presently. Hailing from Preston, Lancashire, they have carving out a reputation for sharp songwriting, atmospheric soundscapes, and a distinctly Northern edge, blended with 2000s esque indie. Formed in the early 2020s, The Cases came together over a shared love of guitar-driven music and introspective lyricism. Their sound often draws comparisons to Oasis and The smiths; UK’s rich lineage of indie acts while maintaining a fresh, contemporary feel. Lyrically, they explore themes oF youth, uncertainty, relationships, and life in a post- industrial Northern town—giving their music both personal and relatable depth. Their performances are known for their raw energy and tight musicianship, has seen them consistently sell out shows across the UK and seen them become a regular sight on festival lineups, such say Y NOT and Highest Point. The Cases headline Sunday 24 May.

SKAL

Hailing from Winsford, Skal are a rising band making serious noise with their punchy blend of indie, alternative, and high-energy rock. Known for tight musicianship and an electrifying live presence, they’ve been building a reputation for sets that pull crowds in and don’t let go. Their sound balances gritty riffs, catchy hooks, and anthemic moments that feel made for festival stages. They have sold out their Liverpool headliner 54 days before they are due to play this Friday and gathering momentum across the UK their rambunctious performances Already sealing airplay from Amazing Radio USA & UK and InDemand Lee Butler Show multiple times, Skal’s brand new single promises to be an anthemic work for
both old and new listeners alike, which drops this Friday 27 March. As they take to the stage at Noisy Weekender, expect big energy, bold sound, and a band ready to leave their mark. If you’re looking for your next favourite live act, Skal are one to watch. Skal perform Saturday 23 May.

DEJA VEGA

Hailing from Winsford, Déjà Vega have built a reputation for huge anthems, gritty riffs, and explosive live performances that have made them one of the North West’s most exciting indie rock bands. Blending elements of alternative rock, psych, and indie, the trio deliver a powerful sound packed with energy and atmosphere. With tracks including “Who We Are”, “Mr. Powder” and “You Only Like Me In Stars”, the band continue to grow a loyal following across the UK music scene — Déja Vega are sure to leave one one of the biggest impressions on Noisy Weekender with their massive catatonic live sound and energy. Déja Vega headline Saturday 23 May.

LILY ALMOND

Lily Almond is an emerging singer-songwriter and performer from Liverpool, known for her soulful voice and emotionally driven songwriting. Blending elements of pop, folk, and country, she has been steadily building a reputation on the city’s vibrant grassroots music scene through intimate live performances and original material. With a background in acting, Almond brings a theatrical sensitivity to her music, often infusing her performances with storytelling and expressive depth. She holds a BA (Hons) in Acting, a discipline that informs both her stage presence and her lyrical approach, allowing her to connect with audiences in a personal and authentic way. Her songwriting is rooted in honest storytelling and melodic accessibility, drawing inspiration from artists such as Joni Mitchell and Alanis Morissette. 2026 is set to be a big year, having already supported Brooke Combe, making the final top 12 songwriters list of Channel 4’s Your Song. Lily Almond performs Monday 25 May.

THE SILVERADOS

The Silverados are a new 3-piece Mod rock band formed in Los Angeles (2025). Channeling the raw energy of The Jam, The Who, The Kinks, and the swagger of the Gallagher brothers, these 20- year-olds are crashing onto the scene with purpose. Led by Patrick Silvers, the grandson of comedy icon Phil Silvers, have been generating a storm aand buzz across Southern California. The maverick trio have built a reputation for their high energy performances, fusing together a unique sonic, guitar driven sounds that has inspired audiences across the pond. The Silverados embark on their biggest journey coming to Britain on their first maiden UK tour this May & June 2026. The Silverardos perform Saturday 23 May.

THE SLATES

The Slates are a contemporary indie/alternative band from Yorkshire, England, part of the region’s long-standing tradition of producing gritty, guitar-driven music. Emerging in the 2010s, they’ve built a following on the UK grassroots circuit through energetic live shows and a sound that blends classic indie rock with
modern post-punk revival influences. Sonically, The Slates draw from northern influences reminiscent of bands like Arctic Monkeys and The Cribs, pairing sharp, melodic guitar lines with punchy rhythms and direct, often observational lyrics. Their music tends to capture everyday life in the North of England touching on themes like youth culture, nightlife, relationships, and working-class identity. The Slates perform Sunday 24 May.

STANLEYS

Stanleys are an emerging indie band from Wigan, part of a new wave of Northern guitar music that blends swaggering confidence with sharp songwriting. Drawing influence from 60s guitar music and 90s Britpop, Stanleys have built a reputation for catchy hooks, punchy rhythms, and lyrics rooted in everyday life in the North of England. First meeting at Winstanley College, the band quickly gained traction through energetic live performances and a growing online following. Their sound mixes classic indie rock attitude with a modern edge—jangly guitars, driving basslines, and anthemic choruses that resonate with a young, restless audience. Stanleys have steadily expanded their reach beyond their hometown, playing
packed shows across the UK and earning attention on streaming platforms and radio such as BBC Radio
Manchester, Liverpool, Californian airplay on said 93.5 FM and a live session on Revolution Radio — most recently featuring on BBC Northwest. They have even charted as high as 8 on the iTunes Alternative Charts and 38 on the normal iTunes chart. Stanleys perform Saturday 23 May.

THE BALLA

Pure energy and zero compromise. Blending raw beats, hypnotic rhythms, and a stage presence that hits like a shockwave, The Balla doesn’t just perform — they take over. The Scouse four piece have already been making big waves this year headlining This Feeling’s ‘Big in 2026, ’ selling it out in 8 hours flat combined with the release of their sophomore single ‘Paris’ and notable performance supporting Kyle Falconer. The Balla headline Monday 25 May.
