WHO WHAT WHERE WHY is a darker-hued twist on the GHGW sound, with gritty post-punk guitars from Simon Kuzmickas that echo Sleaford Mods or IDLES alongside an hypnotic dubby bass loop underpinned by blunt, brash beats.
Yet despite that harder-edged tone, Bruce Breakey’s lyrics pulsate with the cockney charisma and witty wordplay that fuelled previous GHGW highlights such as ‘Full Circle’ and ‘For Once In Our Lives’. Proudly asserting his roots and identity, he fires back with venom too: “What’s my favourite pub in London? Anywhere you’re not.”
Frontman Bruce Breakey says, “This is our cheeky reply to the trolls in the comment section who are desperate to tar us with the same brush as many of their secretly middle-class art school music industry counterparts. Me and Simon are exactly what we say we are on the tin, unapologetically working class grafters and more than happy to take this outside.”

Where you from? Bruce is from the parts of East London that stubbornly resist gentrification, Simon moved there from his home city of Vilnius, Lithuania.
How’d you guys meet? In a Spoons circa 2013.
Do you always get on? Most of the time.
