Babyshambles Announce ‘Babyshambles – Live at KOKO’

The 2025 Babyshambles reunion felt like a long time coming as fans packed venues up and down the UK for the first since their last show in 2014.

Some gigs linger in the walls long after the last chord rings out, and now the adoring crowd can relive the special moments of their fateful homecoming show at KOKO, Camden forever.

The Babyshambles reunion deserved to linger longer than it did, as the live performance is set for release via digital, vinyl and CD.

I was fortunate enough to catch the bands warmup show in my hometown of Southampton and treated my mum and wife to the other London show in Brixton earlier in the tour. Even though I wasn’t at the night in question, I already know I’ll be reliving memories when this album releases on 9th October via Strap Originals and 16th October at other retailers.

Recorded in December 2025, ‘Babyshambles – Live at KOKO’ captures the band at their chaotic, joyful, dynamic, melodic and ogriastic peak.

Babyshambles returned last year following 11 years on the subs bench, and 4 songs (Killamangiro, Delivery, I Wish and Sedative) are available to stream today.

Babyshambles were formed in London in 2003 by Peter Doherty after he first left The Libertines (whom he has since rejoined). The group blends indie rock, punk, and folk with Doherty’s poetic, often scattershot lyrics. Known for a loose, ramshackle sound and raw energy, the core line-up comprises Peter Doherty, guitarist Mick Whitnall, bassist Drew McConnell, and drummer Adam Ficek. They have released three albums Down in Albion (2005), Shotter’s Nation (2007), and Sequel to the Prequel (2013) and racked up four Top 10 Singles Killamangiro, Fuck Forever, Albion and Delivery. The band is celebrated for messy gigs, sharp songwriting, and Doherty’s magnetic, doomed poet charisma.

Babyshambles, who have played multiple festivals and headline shows across Europe this summer, will headline a show at Margate Dreamland, Bank Holiday weekend, 30th August, have three Irish shows (Cork/Dublin/Belfast), two shows with the Streets as Part of Rock n Roll Circus (Norwich/ Sheffield) in August.
