BETTER THAN THIS
SEROTONES, are a 5 piece indie rock band from York made up of Duke Witter, Joe Adams, Tom Elliott, Sonny Leach and Sam Lambert.

The band have enjoyed previous successes with earlier releases including receiving air play on Radio X and Soccer AM, ‘Goals of the Week’, selling out the late Fibbers of York back in June 2019 and their eponymous EP has gained over 100,000 streams on Spotify.
Today (5th March 2021) sees SEROTONES release their new single “Better Than This” on Deadly Records. The single was recorded at Chapel Studios in South Lincolnshire, Engineered by Pieter Rietkerkand and Produced and Mixed by Joe Sage.

Duke from the band has said of the new single that it;
“describes the painful feelings one may encounter after lots of heavy drug use, including the anxiety and mental stress involved in attempting to withdraw from such substances.”
“Better Than This” starts off with a slow, hypnotic strumming guitar and with teasing, hinting drum rhythms. The track quickly picks up pace to become a light hearted feeling, easy melody with resonating, anthemic lyrics. Indeed “could it get much better than this”!! It’s an absolute blinder of a tune from the York based five piece and puts us in mind of the likes of The Coral and Franz Ferdinand.

Listen to “Better Than This” here now.
