LIGHT UP THE SKY
Apollo Junction are a five-piece band from Northern England consisting of Jamie, Matt, Ben, Jonathan and Sam. They have previously been featured on BBC Introducing, BBC Radio 6, Radio X and Virgin Radio. Not only have they enjoyed massive radio exposure, but they’ve also had their music played on MTV’s hit reality show ‘Are You The One’ and in the movie ‘The Big Promise’ and now today they’re back with their latest release.
Released today (Friday 9th April) is the brand new offering from the mighty Apollo Junction and man the new track, “Light Up The Sky” does not disappoint!! It’s an indie rock, euphoric, stadium worthy crowd pleaser if ever we heard one.
“Light Up The Sky” can’t help but elevate your mood with its fizzing feel good momentum that carries you on a euphoric tidal wave of sound with it massive heavy beats, booming drum slaps and riotous, chanting lyrics.
The band have said of the track;
“‘Light Up The Sky’ is an anthem about togetherness, and lifting each other up in the darkest of times”
And further;
“It’s the song that we have aimed to write since the day we formed Apollo Junction and is a great representation of the big sound of our second album.”
Well we’re certainly impressed and we’re not the only ones with the band previously having received praise from the likes of Steve La Macq who said of their music “Another banging anthem” Chris Hawkins who has commented “They write huge choruses” and of course, their big celebrity fan in the form of Graham Norton who has publicly professed that he is a “Big Fan”
If “Light Up The Sky” is a taster of things to come from Apollo Junction with their second album, then we are very much looking forward to its release.
