END OF THE EARTH
Yesterday 9th April saw the brand new release from the Indie rock n rollers The Sherlocks called “End of The Earth”
The Sherlocks don’t really need much background information from us here given the success that they have enjoyed over recent years. From sell out tours across the UK & Europe to supporting the likes of Liam Gallagher, The Libertines, The Kings Of Leon and the Kaiser Chiefs as well as having chart success with two Top 20 albums with their albums “Live for the Moment” and “Under Your Sky”.
Following the departure from the band of Andy and Josh who left to concentrate on things away from the music industry, Sheffield based brothers Kiaran and Brandon Crook then joined up with new Mancunian band members Alex Proctor and Trent Jackson to continue making the music of The Sherlocks which we have all grown to love so much.
After being off of the live scene for over a year while they perfected their new band line up, The Sherlocks are now back with their brand new single “End Of The Earth”.
“End of the Earth” is an absolute bona fide crowd pleaser that’s going to be absolutely huge when the band get to go back out there and perform it live. Its an explosive tune full of sonic riffs, and rousing choruses; a truly euphoric belter of a modern indie/punk rock anthem. Its a move away from their more traditional sound that sways towards the indie sound genre with this new track being a lot more heavy and a lot more punk inspired. We can wait to be jumping around in amongst a sweaty crowd dancing that night away to it.
The Sherlocks front man Kiaran Crook has said of the new track:
“‘End Of The Earth’ is quite punk rock for us, a slight change in direction. But definitely the perfect comeback track. If this single was a person it would be kicking the front door off! This track is WILD!!”
The Sherlocks are currently working on their third album which they hope to release later this year.
Listen to “End Of The Earth” here now.
