MY BEST FRIEND
Having spent several years in bands, Lee Ford is now embarking on an exciting new solo career and a new found freedom of having his own opinion on his lyrics and choice of riffs. Lee is currently in the process of recording tracks from his ever growing catalogue and is now being able to process them in the way he views them in his own mind.
Friday 9th April saw the release of his debut solo single “My Best Friend”.
His Mersey roots are evidently clear in this single with a taste of bands such as The Beatles, The La’s and The Coral coming through in ‘My Best Friend’. Ford displays lyrics from the heart that are relatable to so many of us, as well as topics such as working-class life and experiences of growing up in Liverpool.
“My Best Friend” gives off a nostalgic feel to days of being with your best friend that is instantly uplifting and soul soothing.
Its an ode to friendships and youth, a thank you letter to childhood friendships that we would all agree shapes us for for future. Lee Ford is definitely someone to look out for in 2021 with his upbeat personality and ability to relate to his listeners.
