ALWAYS SOMETHING ALBUM REVIEW
New York band UV TV release their highly anticipated third album ‘Always Something‘ that was written in the midst of the global pandemic.
Whilst the pandemic gave us dark and sweet times this could also describe the album ‘Always Something’ giving us sweet vocals with a powerful dark punch of the guitar, and a rhythm of drums that combined creates magic.
Featuring in the New York Times group exhibition ‘Women Are Making The Best Rock Music Today’ UV-TV are making themselves seen and heard, and getting themselves out there as one of 2021’s most essential guitar bands.
Lead singer Rose Vastola’s sweetest voice complements the uplifting riff of guitars on Distant Lullaby which will no doubt hook a live audience.
Vastola’s voice complements the guitar throughout the album, with her clear pronunciation of lyrics, and a powerful but sweet voice it’s very easy to make comparisons of Debbie Harry or even Kim Wilde!
Holland Sunday provides an opportunity to ride Vastolas voice with a soothing backdrop of drums and guitars with feels of joy divisions ‘atmosphere‘. The drums certainly add to the majestic and rhythm of both Holland Sunday and Plume.
UV TV provides a perfect blend of garage punk and powerpunk. Together with classic sounds of 80s but combining it with a fresh sound that will capture the audience and leave them wanting more.
