Following the release of his highly praised EP ‘The Lost Persons Meeting Point’ earlier this year, Alex Ohm is now back with his latest offering, a rousing, summer anthem titled JOY.

Alex Ohm’s alternative, cinematic symphonies reflect the wide range of influences that inspire his work and come together to create his band’s unique sound.

JOY is the perfect Summer soundtrack. With its catchy melody and incredible vocal harmonies you can’t help but feel uplifted. Listening to the track makes you feel good, it makes you want to get up and dance. With rousing lyrics that grow stronger as the song progresses, it fills the listener with a certain sense of euphoria and certainly leaves you wanting more.

Of the track Ohm comments;

“I think it’s the happiest song I’ve ever written! I usually tend to write with some sort of underlying synoecism in my songs, but this is a real feel good, summer song.I wrote it in the midst of the pandemic but looking to the future. Imagining a time when restrictions and constraints have eased. It’s a song of hope and positive thinking.’

The song was recorded at the RML Studios,
Wolverhampton and features Alex’s band members Ste Ashford (Guitar), Hannah Maiden (Bass) and Producer, Ryan Pinson on drums.

Ohm further went into say;

“This song was a sort of impromptu track. We usually rehearse the tracks prior to recording. Because of the restrictions we weren’t allowed to rehearse so we had to demo it remotely and then take it straight into the studio. It didn’t phase us though. We’re really proud of how the single has come out.’

The single was released on the 25th June and is available on all streaming and download platforms now.
