Columbia are the indie rock four piece band from Cardiff who were formed three years ago. The band is comprised of frontman and rhythm guitarist Craig Lewis, with Ben Rowlands on lead guitar, Chris Webber on drums and ‘Sten’ , on bass.
The welsh lads have risen through the UK indie music scene over recent years, with their previous singles ‘Fall Into The Sun’ and ‘Keys To The Kingdom’ both being well received by radio and press alike.
The band are now back with their latest single “Glory People” .
The new track blends a raw aggression with incendiary guitar riffs, thunderous drums and a volatile energy with lyrics that are about hope and making the best of what we have. ’Glory People’ is a high octane slice of joyous indie rock that unleashes an anthemic sound that stays with you long after the track has reached its conclusion.
During the recording process at King’s Road Studio for the new single, Record producer Andrew Sanders suggested that singer Asha Jane join the band for a session in the studio, and within an hour she had put down some amazing backing vocals which can be heard on the song.
Columbia are a band that have a constant friendly banter between them, a real close-knit bond that is easily transitioned into a cohesiveness within their onstage performances. Couple this together with their stadium sized sound and you’ve surely got yourself a recipe for success.
Columbia are no doubt on an exciting upward trajectory, with their highly-anticipated debut tour dates to be announced shortly coinciding with the release of their debut album “Embrace The Chaos” in early 2022.
