GET DOWN LOW
Since the release of previous single “Just Don’t Get It” back in October last year, The Thieves have made some noticeable changes and upped their musical game firstly, by transforming from a powerful three piece band into a now outstanding four piece band.
The band hailing from County Durham in the North East of England initially formed back in 2017 and now consists of lead guitarist and front man Frankie Dobson , rhythm guitarist Johnny Baul, Bassist Liam Raine and Leon Chadwick on drums. The latest single also features a guest appearance from Scott Williamson of Scottish band Shambolics on Keyboards.
With Influences ranging across a wide spectrum from indie melodies to hard hitting punk, the song writing capabilities of front man Frankie Dobson are demonstrated effortlessly through the band’s music, couple this with their high octane live performances, and you’ve got yourself a winning combination.
The Thieves are now thrilled to bring to us their latest track “Get Down Low” which is a huge anthemic stomper with its retro vibes ranging from the 60/70’s being whipped up into a frenzy by the post punk hook lines and rousing chorus lines.

‘Get Down Low’ is a magnificent indie rock banger. It’s the sort of track with its frenzied drumming and rocking, yet beautifully orchestrated guitar work that’s sure to get any crowd revved up and raring to go.
Frontman Frankie Dobson has said of the track:-
“This track is about that feeling you get when you’re out with your mates on the drink, and you see that ‘girl in the red dress’ I guess it’s ultimately about the idea that everyone has that one person they always have their eye on even when they’re out with their mates.”
‘Get Down Low’ was written by Frankie Dobson and was recorded at Eggman Studios in Glasgow. It was mixed and produced by Scott Thompson, Scott Williamson and Darren Forbes from the band Shambolics.
Having already amassed great feedback and reviews on their previous releases from the likes of This Feeling and radio support from the likes of the legendary Rodney Bingenheimer on his Sirius XM show, we’re confident that “Get Down Low” is going to be a track that will soon be on everyone’s radar.
