NAKED FT KAHM

Let’s break it down.

At the beginning of the track, it’s all warped with the synth that provides the chords phasing – this comes in and out through the song. The beat drops at 0:10 at half time – kick, rim shot and hi hats which seem to be distuned so there must be multiples being played here….

Then comes Nyla’s voice at 0:11, she brings smooth soul to this track, very playful with the lines as it’s essentially a love song. You can tell she had fun with this, and it really suits her voice, I’m a big fan!

Now, Kahm is new to me, and I’m grateful to my dude Gem The Engineer for bringing both Kahm and Nyla Sings to my attention. His vocals come in at around 1:03 nice and deep, and like I said the way these two come together on the track it just works beautifully….. 

The contemporary R&B Singer/Songwriter, Nyla Sings is an upcoming artist from the United Kingdom. Entering the music scene with her Debut EP ‘Warning to our Generation’ (2019) Nyla has progressed in her music career working on R&B, House and Neo-Soul sounds, releasing her first single ‘Deja Vu’ (2020). As a young child, Nyla spent her time singing at church and writing and creating music. As a teenager, she spent her time building her musical experiences teaching herself to play the guitar and piano. Following that, she began documenting her Musical Journey on Social Media later to be discovered by BBC Introducing who featured her as an upcoming artist in 2020.

Kahm is a rising singer-songwriter from South London who is making his mark on the British R&B scene. Kahm’s mesmerising tone and relatable lyrics in his first single Addicted/Love Hurts left listeners captivated and eager for his next song.
