Liverpool jangle-indie band, Keyside, have today announced their debut self-titled album.

Until now, the 4-piece have lived up to the “Ones to watch” label, but the debut album looks set to throw them into the spotlight and away from the support slots they’ve been growing into.

Known for their chiming guitars and uplifting choruses, they pull on the classic sounds of bands like The Smiths and The La’s. They sit as part of the new wave of UK guitar bands that pair melody with an emotional touch, built for sweaty rooms as well as festival fields.

They’ve taken the gradual, word-of-mouth rise to this point. From growing a local buzz to sparking national conversations, a debut album comes at the perfect time to propel them into the next phase of history.

The self-titled album, set for release August 7th, consists of 12 tracks that mix their existing singles with new releases, including latest single, ‘Lemon and Lime’.

Listeners can expect northern guitar pop / jangle-indie, built on melody and big hooks. There’s a weight behind them lyrically, touching on themes like isolation, addiction and hope.

UK guitar music is currently experiencing an upswing in momentum, as the collective of new bands all fight for the same space. The timing feels deliberate.

Keyside have built a reputation for raw/joyful live shows. Their first UK tour sold out at a blistering pace, followed by standout support slots for Blossoms, The Royston Club and Shed Seven.

An array of vinyl, CDs and other merchandise can be pre-ordered from Keyside’s official store.

The track listing is as follows:

1. Runaway
2. Angeline
3. Down My Way
4. Lemon And Lime
5. Heaven
6. Comedown
7. Rock My Love
8. Cocodamol
9. Red Ruby Red
10. Nikita
11. Michael (What’s Your Call?)
12. Echoes
