SWITCH OFF
After signing with This Feeling Records and igniting the Isle of Wight, Y Not?, Truck and Rewired festivals this summer, Manchester’s next big hope Rosellas made their debut for the label with the release of their new single ‘Switch Off’ on the 8th September.

‘Switch Off’ shows Rosellas’ growing maturity as accomplished musicians. It channels a somewhat melancholy vibe into a richer, layered production which evokes a nostalgia of 80s dreamy pop coupled with post-punk as much as it does their more classic ‘90s indie influences.
Frontman Drew Selby’s voice shimmers with emotion to match the mood, his words articulating that a life dedicated solely to grinding to reach your ambitions will only lead to burnout.
The band have said of the track;
“This is a tune driven by a punchy, contemporary beat and moody guitars that centres its focus around the idea of getting away from it all and switching off from the moment. Not chasing dreams 24 hours a day and losing sight of the reason you began in the first place.”
The track was produced by Oliver Shillito at Big City Jacks in Bury.
The band is comprised of Drew Shelby on vocals Euan Mail on rhythm guitar , Luis Sullivan on keys and backing vocals, Ollie Appleby on bass and Mark Zanker on drums. Rosellas are about to embark upon a tour as guests to Starsailor. They will then hit Manchester’s Neighbourhood Festival before playing three shows with Andrew Cushin.
