I WONDER

Yesterday (Friday 4th June) saw the latest release from what is undoubtedly one of the most hotly tipped new bands of the moment; The Crooks.

The Crooks, are a five piece Chesterfield band first formed in 2019 consisting of Jacko, Chris, Duncan, Conor, and Tom. Although the band have certainly, like everyone else, been somewhat hampered by the pandemic, they’ve already accrued several releases with their tracks ‘In Time’, ‘She Walks Alone’ and ‘Nevermind’ gaining them over 100,000 Spotify streams alone.

The band have already secured themselves a loyal and devoted fan base following with their huge, anthemic guitar based sounds and yesterday saw them release their most euphoric track to date with “I Wonder”. The track is being released on Golden Robot Records.

I Wonder’ is a track that is all about shaking off the shackles of the worldwide pandemic that we’ve all been blighted by and leaning to inject some positivity and post pandemic hope back into our lives and to reveal in a new found freedom. The track bounces along nicely with catchy chord progressions, fast paced percussions and a funky bass line, mixed up with some big sounds and sing along vocals. Its a classic indie banger perfect for the festival season. Upon listening to this track we can envisage the crowd euphorically chanting the song back to the band on that big stage. A much needed tonic all round!
